I’d never buy an action figure just for a DLC code, but if inspires others to do so, then that’s great for McFarlane Toys (and the Halo collecting sphere as a whole). In addition, just like the Halo 4 figures, every McFarlane Toys Halo 5 Guardians figure will include an exclusive DLC code for Halo 5 Guardians downloadable content! I guess we’ll have to wait and see what McFarlane Toys has up their sleeves!īut while details regarding the other Spartans figures won’t be announced until a later date, at least we do know that these figures will be in the same scale as the Halo 4 figures and will feature the usual 25+ points of articulation. I’m not entirely sure who those other “classic characters”would be, as the case ratios include only Spartans and I don’t believe we’ve seen any other named Spartans in the Halo video games that would be relevant to release as part of a Halo 5 series. I’m a little bit confused about the solicitation text that McFarlane Toys sent out, as it states “Series 1 includes Master Chief, a rising star in the UNSC ranks – Spartan Locke, as well as some exciting Spartans and classic characters from the Halo universe.”
It’s not nearly my favorite armor ever, but at this point, I’ll be delighted to get any new Halo action figure! Seeing as how the Spartan Athlon armor permutation is basically the only new Spartan armor that we’ve seen (as it first appeared in the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta event), I’m not at all surprised to see it turn up in the first assortment of Halo 5 McFarlane Toys figures. (1) Athlon Spartan (Gold/Steel) with Assault Rifle and Magnum (2) Halo Master Chief with Assault Rifle and Magnum The McFarlane Toys Halo 5 Guardians Series 1 case ratios are as follows: Unfortunately, McFarlane Toys is not yet allowed to reveal three of the six new figures that will be in Halo 5: Guardians Wave 1, but they were able to share the identities of the first three figures, as well as the case ratios for the assortment… Coming to XBox One this Fall, “Halo 5: Guardians” looks to inject some fresh blood and excitement into the Halo franchise–and Halo collectors are definitely hoping that the release of Halo 5 will help to reinvigorate the Halo collectibles market as well!
